2005 FORD MUSTANG: Ford had these things out in force at the show. The market for these cars is going to be huge, and their performance capability is awesome -- this car is a real throwback to the predecessor it resembles. There were a few companies that managed to make it look ugly (we tastefully omitted these photos), but in general every Mustang at the 04 Sema show was impressive. | |
TEIN SUSPENSION |
 |
 |
 |
 |
 |
Tein had one of the nicest booths at the show. New products in their lineup include hood dampers, which get our vote as one of the coolest non-performance parts of the year, and their strutbars slated for release in 2005.
From left to right: The new hood dampers and strut bars (WRX and S13 shown), more strutbars (Evo 8 shown), the Tein girl (you can see the hooddampers in the background), a bad picture of SRT-4 SS dampers, and a worse image of Evo 8 dampers. |
GREDDY |

As always, Greddy had some interesting new products. New stuff for 2005 includes the type RS blow-off valve, the profec b spec s, the RX-8 turbo kit and the Scion TC turbo kit. The booth vehicles were impressive as always.
From left to right: The Greddy turbo RX-8, the spec-sheet for the RX-8, the RX-8 turbo kit, the Scion Tc booth vehicle, its spec-sheet, and the Greddy Evo 2 exhaust for the 2001+ WRX (nobody has a good picture of this). |
HKS |

HKS had a pretty hefty display of products as well.
From left to right: The new 350z supercharger kit, Legamax exhaust for the 350z, HKS's Evo 8 turbo kit, the carbon titanium Hiper exhaust for the Evolution 8, and finally a showcase of their Evo 8 engine parts including cams gears and headgaskets. |
TURBO XS |

 |
Turbo
XS had a good showing of its lineup of new intercoolers and electronics.
From left to right: The Turbo XS Tuner Wideband Monitor, new stainless steel WRX uppipe w/ a flex section, boost controller display, new DTEC Gameboy interface, and finally their intercooler display w/ the new WRX top-mount on top and the Evo 8 front mount on the bottom. |
CUSCO |

Cusco was there with a full selection of their products. Not much was new, but hey -- it's Cusco we were glad they were there.
From left to right: Cusco GDA control arms, Evo 8 intake, the Nukabe/Cusco STi, the prototype WRX/STi carbon fiber driveshaft, the WRX reinforced radiator hose kit, and the Evo and WRX turbo heatshields and oil catch can. |
